Ituna Sacred Heart Christmas Dinner and Pageant

Divine Liturgy, a delicious dinner, a children’s pageant and St. Nicholas all in one afternoon. On December 11, 2011, Father Boris Kyba celebrated Divine Liturgy. All were invited to the hall following Liturgy, where a delicious perogie and sausage dinner was waiting. The pageant started with carols played on the piano by Abby, Jenna, Jeromy and Cassidy Boczulak, and Michaela Kozun. The nativity story was read accompanied by the children singing Christmas carols. Mary was portrayed by Cassidy Boczulak and Joseph was portrayed by Brendan Spilchuk. Due to technical difficulties, St. Nicholas was fashionably late. He FINALLY arrived bearing treat bags for all the children. St. Nicholas had the privilege of talking with Mrs. Ann Muzyka, as she had recently celebrated her birthday. She was also given a treat bag. Parish president Larry Tymiak, acknowledged Heidi Spilchuk for organizing the pageant, and for the children who took the time to be part of the pageant. A round of applause to the parents for bringing the children to church and to partake in the festivities. Wishing all a peaceful and joyous Christmas season.
