The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1912 under the direction of Fr. Achille Delaere, C.Ss.R., and under the foremanship of Mr. F. Novakowski. The church was consecrated by Blessed Bishop Nykyta Budka in 1913 and was decorated in 1936 by the artist Paul Zabolotny.

This historic church is dominated by a massive dome of striking design and has been beautifully maintained over the years by its community. It is served a number of times each year by clergy from Canora.
