About

Ukrainian settlers arrived in the area around the village of Insinger in 1898. The first liturgy in the area was celebrated by the missionary Fr. Achille Delaere, C.Ss.R., in 1904. Shortly thereafter, the people of the area constructed a small church. A larger church was built in 1911 to replace the first.

In April 1931, this church was lost to fire. The community rallied to rebuild, and the present church was completed by the end of that year.

St. Nicholas parish has been lovingly maintained and upgraded over the years by its parishioners.
