During a second Russian attack on July 8, debris from shot-down aerial targets fell on a medical center in Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi district near the UGCC Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ. The private maternity center Isida was damaged, resulting in the deaths of eight people.

According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, as of the evening, there are 8 dead and 4 injured in the Dniprovskyi district, and efforts are underway to clear the rubble and search for people. In total, 23 people were killed and 63 injured in the massive attack on Kyiv by the aggressor country, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav reacted to Russia’s massive missile attack on Ukraine on July 8, calling it a “crime against humanity” and “a sin that calls to heaven for vengeance.” Appealing to the conscience of all people around the world, the Patriarch called for condemnation of this crime and urged everyone to do everything possible to stop and prosecute the hand of a ruthless killer.

The Head of the UGCC also published a photo showing the consequences of the hit on the medical center located near the main church of the UGCC. His Beatitude Sviatoslav expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and assured them of his prayers.

We remind you that July 9 was declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv.
