On May 30, 2022 in Saskatoon, SK, a Moleben to the Mother of God and a Farewell Supper was held at St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral and St. George’s Senior Citizen Centre in honour of Bishop Bryan who has been appointed Eparch of Toronto and Eastern Canada by the Holy Father, Pope Francis. This day also marked Bishop Bryan’s 35th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood.

His Excellency Bishop Mark Hagemoen of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon, Abbot Peter Novecosky, O.S.B., of St. Peter’s Abbey in Muenster, SK, Rev. Bassim Shoni of Sacred Heart Chaldean Catholic Church and other ecclesiastical dignitaries and clergy were present.

At the Supper presentations were made on behalf of various Eparchial and Provincial Catholic organizations to honour Bishop Bryan including by the Bayda Family, Clergy and Religious of the Eparchy of Saskatoon, Chancery Staff and Ministries, Knights of Columbus State Council, Ukrainian Catholic Brotherhood of Canada Eparchial and Bishop Roborecki Branches and Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada Eparchial and Saskatoon Branches.

The Catholic and other Communities and Organizations that were touched by Bishop Bryan over his many years of ministry and leadership in our province wish him all the best and God’s blessings in his new appointment!
