Three blessing days with friends filled with the presence of God and His boundless and generous Love…..

This year the CCYMN National Youth Ministry Conference was hosted in the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC  at St. Mark’s College,  from June 1-3. The theme of the conference was: “TURN THE TIDE”.  Approximately 100 people from across Canada had the opportunity to meet and to share their youth ministry experiences, as well as to open their hearts for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and to experience an encounter with Christ.

The keynote speaker was the extremely inspiring CHRIS STEFANICK, a consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth. Chris is an internationally acclaimed author and speaker, who has devoted his life to inspiring people to live a bold, contagious faith.

We were also inspired by the musical performance of Jesse and Kathleen LeBlanc, and  joined in singing along, as their musical chemistry poured forth as they played for us.

The variety of workshops that were offered were very deep and meaningful, and were conducted by different professionals in the areas of: missionary, prayerful life, student engagement, young adult transition, leadership, the Synod on Young People, avoidance of youth ministry burn-out, etc.

These three days were filled with a prayer, contemplation, sharing and joy. The conference inspired everybody to “turn our tide” in the direction of more profound youth ministry for the glory of God.

God bless the entire team for their leadership and inspiration that this conference provided, bestowing us with so many gifts throughout this entire weekend!
