Cudworth – Shrine of Sorrow of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Stations of the cross and other statues are on the hill where our Lady of Sorrow appeared to children.

– June 4, 2018 – 2 pm Stations of the Cross

As you know there has been significant compromises to the structural integrity of the foundation. Significant maintenance is required and local human and financial resources have been insufficient in recent years.

 What do we do next?

June 3, 11:30 am – Cudworth Praznyk. Please join us. There will be no visit to the Shrine on this day.

Church of St. Demetrius constructed 1948 and relocated 1964 at the Shrine of Sorrow Site near Cudworth.

June 4, 2:00 pm –  Stations of the Cross at the Shrine and tour of the current status of the site. Everyone welcome.

June 4, 3:30 pm –  meeting in the Cudworth Parish Church basement to discuss future options. We will begin by brainstorming, that means that every opinion is valid. All ideas will be listed as possible options. Options will then be prioritized and some may be eliminated and others may require further research. Some committees may be established. Some recommendations may be made.

There is a committee of community members who will be making a visit to the Shrine between now and June 4th in order to begin formulating

options. If you would like to be on this committee call Fr. Ivan Nahachewsky at 306-961-1390 or Metro Hrabok at 306-280-3517.

Through the Prayers of our Lady of Sorrow, O Savior, save us!
