UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC FOUNDATION OF SASKATCHEWAN CORPORATION (UCFSASK)

On December 14, 2013 the membership of the Metropolitan Sheptytsky Society of Saskatchewan (MSSS) approved the Amended Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws which gave the Society a new mission, a new purpose and a new name. The new organization known as the Bishop Budka Eparchial Stewardship Society Inc (BBESSI) became part of the Stewardship Office of the Eparchy, and more specifically, the fundraising arm of the Eparchy of Saskatoon. The Eparchy had long desired to employ an organized and structured fundraising approach for raising funds for Eparchial ministries and for other Eparchial needs.

On December 9, 2018, the membership of BBESSI approved another fundamental change to where BBESSI was transitioned to a Foundation which gave it more powers to manage investments for the Eparchy. At the same time, the membership also approved a new name for BBESSI, that being the Ukrainian Catholic Foundation of Saskatchewan Corporation (UCFSASK).

While the name has changed, the mission and objectives/purpose of the Foundation did not change. The mission and objectives of the Ukrainian Catholic Foundation of Saskatchewan Corporation (UCFSASK) are presented below.

MISSION

Promoting the cultural, social, educational and spiritual initiatives, policies, and objectives of the Eparchy among Ukrainian Catholics in the Province of Saskatchewan, and assisting, financially or otherwise, any organizations that propagate the cultural, social, educational and spiritual well-being of Ukrainian Catholics in the Province of Saskatchewan in accordance with the initiatives, policies, and objectives of the Eparchy.

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

The primary objective of the Corporation is to develop, organize, and implement fundraising initiatives and programs for the purpose of raising monies that will be used to further the initiatives, policies, and objectives of the Eparchy of Saskatoon.
