On November 12, 2023, the Feast of the Holy Hieromartyr Josaphat and the 24th (23rd) Sunday after the Descent of the Holy Spirit, the Ukrainian Canadian Civil Liberties presented original hand-written icons from Ukrainian Iconographer Oleksandr Klymenko to the Ukrainian Catholic and Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral/Sobors of Saskatoon. Rt. Rev. Mitred Archpriest Taras Makowsky, Rector of the Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor of the Holy Trinity and Very Rev. Ivan Nahachewsky, Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St. George celebrated a panakhyda in honour of Ukrainian-Canadian World Wars veterans and blessed the icons. Representatives from the Ukrainian Canadian Civil Liberties Foundation, Ukrainian Canadian Congress -Saskatoon Branch, Stephen & Michelene Worobetz Foundation and the Prairie Centre for the study of Ukrainian Heritage gave addresses and the history of the icon and a documentary were presented.
