On November 27, 2022 at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St. George in Saskatoon, SK, a Panakhyda (Prayer service for the Dead) was held in commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the beginning of the Holodomor Famine-Genocide of 1932-1933 in Soviet Ukraine, offered by Very Rev. Janko Kolosnjaji, Vicar General of the Eparchy and Rector of the Cathedral.

Before the service, Fr. Vasyl, a visiting priest from the Patriarchal Archeparchy of Kyiv, read the letter of support of the Holy Father to the people of Ukraine on the anniversary of the Holodomor and during the ongoing war in Ukraine.
