On December 17, 2023, Pope Francis turned 87 years old, making him one of the oldest reigning popes in history. Pope Benedict XVI resigned the Papacy before turning 86.  The current record for oldest reigning pope is Pope Leo XIII who died while in office in 1903 at the age of 93. Happy Birthday, Holy Father!
