Please pray for our bishops, who are meeting in Rome for the Synod of Bishops from September 3-13, 2023.  The theme for this year’s Synod is “Pastoral Care of victims of war.”  This year 45 of the 55 (56 including the bishop-elect Michael Kwiatkowski) bishops of the world-wide Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church are together in person.  Patriarch Sviatoslav noted that over half of the bishops present are younger than him, and that the UGCC has more bishops now than at any previous time in its history, which is why he has called it a “Synod of Hope.”
