In less than a month, we will host our Special Online Event to announce this year’s 10 Nation Builders and Community Recognition Awards honourees. You’ll be able to watch the event announcement on Sunday, November 7th at www.ucc.sk.ca to learn who is being honoured this year.

Fundraising & Development Coordinator

The FDC will be responsible for advancing and launching the newly created Hromada Legacy Foundation of Saskatchewan. UCC launches new campaign to promote awareness of First World War Internment

UCC National recently launched an Internment Education Campaign that will reach thousands of Canadians on various media platforms with emphasis on mobile devices and social media. The campaign will run run throughout October in the lead up to National Internment Education Day on October 28.Details

About the Director:

Ryan Boyko is a multi-award winning Producer, Writer and Director. His series “The Camps” and his Feature Documentary “That Never Happened: Canada’s First National Internment Operations” tell of Ukrainian Canadian hardships from a global perspective. Ryan spoke at the UN on the topic of WW1 Internment and later this year segments of his work will be installed at the Canadian Museum of History.

In 2017, Ryan received UCC Saskatchewan’s Community Recognition Award for Creativity & Innovation and Cultural Preservation & Development.

2021-2022 South West District Micro Grant
Open for applications beginning tomorrow

Funding is available to groups or communities developing culture, recreation, and/or sport in the South West District.

The South West District will contribute up to $500 per project for new or improved initiatives. Applying is easy.

Important Dates

  • Applications open October 13, 2021
  • Application deadline is October 29, 2021 at noon
  • Projects must be finished by March 15, 2022
  • Follow-up email reports must be received by Wednesday, March 23, 2022
