A Word from Us
Слово від нас
The Ukrainian Canadian Congress – National (UCC) is conducting this survey to address ongoing challenges and create new opportunities for building engagement, participation, and inclusion in Ukrainian Canadian communities across Canada.

Share your thoughts on what it means to be Ukrainian Canadian today: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/uccsaskatchewan

Respondents can complete the survey in English, Ukrainian or French. After proceeding to the survey, they will be able to switch between the 3 languages using the dropdown menu at the top right corner of the screen.

For those without internet access, the option of a telephone interview is available by calling UCC National’s toll-free number (1-866-942-4627) which will be answered by staff in the Winnipeg office.

Complete the survey and enter a lucky draw to win an iPad, a $100 pre-paid card, or one of three $50 cards.

An Appeal from One of Our Member Organizations

Vesna Festival needs your support more than ever!

We really want to have a Vesna Festival to come back to when the pandemic is over so we’re hoping that all our past guests will consider a small donation to ensure this happens—$10, $20, $50, $100 or more. Visit https://www.vesnafestival.com/donate-now to find out about canadahelps.org and how your tax-deductible donation will help (tax receipts are issued promptly by email).

Please consider helping Saskatoon’s longest running festival. We love sharing Ukrainian culture and hope to give all our Ukrainian artists and performers, young and old, a chance to showcase their amazing talents when COVID-19 is past us. Please help ensure that we can deliver on that promise by making a small donation. All donations big and small will add up. They will make a difference to the future of our festival.

Thank you so much in advance for supporting 45 years of sharing our wonderfully rich culture.

About this year’s camp

A very familiar symbol used as the helmet logo for the town of Hafford, Saskatchewan’s minor football teams. The coaches weren’t even of Ukrainian ancestry, unlike most of the population of the town. They knew it was some kind of Ukrainian symbol that they often saw around town, and just thought it would look cool on their helmets. I explained the significance of the tryzub to one of the coaches.
