This year Ridna Shkola students are not able to go carolling and spread the joy of Christmas due to COVID… On top of those multigenerational traditions, carolling was always one of the most important fundraisers – so much needed to sustain our school.
We hope that this pre-recorded carol will bring some joy to your homes and will brighten the season!

Settlement Advisor Services ended on December 31st
On December 17, 2021 UCC Saskatchewan was officially notified that the Government of Saskatchewan would no longer be funding our Settlement Advisor program beyond this year. This follows a Negotiated Request for Proposal Process.
After more than 14 years of providing important help to our province’s newcomers, UCC Saskatchewan is disappointed that this will come to an end on December 31st. Continue reading |

17 грудня 2021 року КУК Саскачеван отримав офіційне повідомлення про те, що після закінчення цього року, уряд Саскачевану більше не буде фінансувати програму КУК Саскачевану з надання послуг поселення для новоприбулих. Це відбулося після завершення процесу розгляду запитів на пропозицію.
КУК Саскачевану розчарований тим, що після більш ніж 14 років надання вагомої допомоги для новоприбулих до нашої провінції, це має завершиться 31 грудня. Читати далі |

Hromada Legacy Fund
Next deadline for Project Funding is February 15, 2022
2021 Special Pandemic Funding for UCC Saskatchewan Member Organizations
Through the Hromada Legacy Fund, UCC Saskatchewan has made Special Pandemic Funding available to assist member organizations maintain their operations as they cope with the serious limitations of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are pleased to announce that a total of $12,750 was granted to the following successful applicants:

A youth group in Saskatoon is preparing for a special nativity play performance over the holidays. (Carla Shynkaruk/CTV Saskatoon)
Youth and Young Adults of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saskatoon began performing a nativity play on stilts starting Boxing Day at St. George’s Cathedral and continue through January at various Ukrainian churches in Saskatoon.

UNF Regina Hall Furnace Room Flooded
Over the Christmas holidays, the hall’s furnace stopped working, resulting in frozen water lines. After heating was restored, the pipes broke and the furnace room was flooded. A plumbing company is identifying all related issues. The cost of repairs may be substantial. See Facebook post |

Statement by Press Secretary Jen Psaki on President Biden’s Call with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine
(January 2, 2022) President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. spoke today with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine.
President Biden made clear that the United States and its allies and partners will respond decisively if Russia further invades Ukraine. The leaders expressed support for diplomatic efforts, starting next week with the bilateral Strategic Stability Dialogue, at NATO through the NATO-Russia Council, and at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
President Biden underscored the commitment of the United States and its allies and partners to the principle of “nothing about you without you.” He reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also expressed support for confidence-building measures to de-escalate tensions in Donbas and active diplomacy to advance the implementation of the Minsk Agreements, in support of the Normandy Format.
