Please note that all clients / visitors entering the office will be pre-screened when booking an appointment as well as upon arrival. Clients/Visitors are also required to wear a mask.

2020 Nation Builders & Community Recognitions Awards

In less than 3 weeks, UCC Saskatchewan will host our Special Online Event to announce this year’s 10 Nation Builders and Community Recognition Awards honourees.

If you are from Alvena, Arran, Canora, Ituna, Kenaston, Komarno (MB), Krydor, Nipawin, North Battleford, Ottawa (ON), Regina, Rosthern, Saskatoon, Swan River (MB) or Yorkton, be sure to tune in on Sunday 01 November at 1 PM (Saskatchewan time) at www.ucc.sk.ca to learn who of your neighbours is being honoured this year.

Meet Our Newest Staff MemberUCC Saskatchewan welcomes Laurie Bletsky to our settlement services team. Laurie brings a wealth of experience in the newcomer settlement and education sectors to her new position as Communicator Logistics Coordinator. Laurie and Communicator Training Officer Olga Bondarenko will oversee UCC Saskatchewan’s new Communicator program.

This newly developed Communicator program will be piloted in Saskatchewan. It is a standardized 5-year interpretation and translation professional development curriculum funded by the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Further information will be included in the fall issue of Visnyk.

Would you like to get some tips and tools to assist you with evaluating your programs?

SaskCulture is providing you with an opportunity to learn more about Program Evaluation in a two-part workshop facilitated by Micheal Heimlick from Two Bridges Consulting in Saskatoon. The workshop will be offered virtually.

There is no cost to attend but you must register.

Part 1 is Thursday, October 22nd and Part 2 is Thursday, October 29th. Both Workshops are 10 am – noon.
