Perceptions of Genocide: Telling Our Stories, Owning Our History – A Public Presentation
(UCC Saskatchewan, Saskatoon) – The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) in Winnipeg and the
National Museum “Holodomor Victims Memorial” (NMHVM) in Kyiv, Ukraine, are offering a new program in
recognition of April as Genocide Remembrance, Condemnation and Prevention Month. The joint initiative offers
communities the opportunity to host public events that encourage dialogue on genocide education.

As part of a national tour, the Director General of the NMHVM, Olesia Stasiuk, and the President and CEO of the
CMHR, John Young, will be in Saskatoon to deliver keynote addresses at a public presentation, “Perceptions of
Genocide: Telling Our Stories, Owning Our History,” on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Saskatoon Public
Library’s Frances Morrison Central Library, 311 23rd Street East in Saskatoon, starting at 7:00 p.m.
