FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Metropolitan Lawrence’s health continues to improve

Winnipeg, MB. October 25, 2024.

Today Bishop Andriy Rabiy is pleased to announce a steady improvement in Metropolitan Lawrence’s health over the last week. As it was reported on October 16, the metropolitan has been transferred the intensive care unit to a standard hospital ward as a testament to his progressing recovery. Metropolitan Lawrence continues to receive comprehensive medical and nursing care at a Winnipeg hospital.

While the duration of his hospitalization remains uncertain, the medical team is optimistic. The continued positive trajectory in his health suggests that, with time and the good care he is receiving, the prospects for a full recovery are promising. The doctors are closely monitoring his condition and making all necessary adjustments to his treatment plan to ensure ongoing improvement.

The privacy of Metropolitan Lawrence during this time is of utmost importance, and we are grateful for the respect and honor that has been extended to him and his request for privacy. We understand the concern and support expressed by many and assure everyone that updates will be provided as his condition evolves.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the doctors and hospital staff, whose tireless efforts and dedication have been instrumental in the Metropolitan’s recovery journey.

We ask that you continue to keep Metropolitan Lawrence in your prayers during this time. The support and prayers from the faithful and clergy are invaluable and greatly appreciated by both Metropolitan Lawrence.

We are hopeful and pray for Metropolitan Lawrence’s continued improvement and eventual return to his duties when he has fully recovered. Until then, we will continue to provide updates periodically as Metropolitan’s recovery evolves.
