Young people today face challenges that are hard to handle, and we, adults, do not always know how to help them. A young person is looking for trust, help, acceptance on his way to holiness, in discerning his true vocation, his mission on earth. Young people are longing for God and are ready for great accomplishments in all areas of spiritual, social and religious life.

Therefore, in this pilgrimage we will be praying to the Holy Spirit for our youth, for vocations to the priesthood and religious life, for their holiness. We will ask the Holy Spirit to give them inspiration, strength and power to go forward, to be courageous for great deeds, not to be afraid to be holy, for in our Lord is their strength.

Also, we will pray for peace and unity in Ukraine, for the wisdom, decency, patriotism and professionalism of the Ukrainian authorities, for the courage of the Ukrainian army, for healing of the wounded, for the families who lost relatives in the war, for refugees, orphans, volunteers, for the patience and attentiveness of Ukrainians.

True examples of genuine courage and commitment to Christ are the Ukrainian Martyrs. This year our Church celebrates the 75th anniversary of the death of Blessed Omelyan Kovch. On this occasion, in this pilgrimage, we will reflect on the strength of endurance and the virtue of martyrdom granted by our Lord to Blessed Omelyan Kovch, whose life inspired and still inspires many people to holiness.

Therefore, we invite you to trust God, and join us.

Let the power of the Holy Spirit strengthen and guide us!
