The Church of Ss. Peter and Paul in Speers was built in 1956 to replace an earlier structure that had been acquired by the community. The construction project was made possible through the generosity of the local Ukrainian Catholic community, who contributed both funding and labor. The church was blessed by Bishop Andrew Roborecki in 1964.

The Church of Ss. Peter and Paul at Speers is served by clergy from the North Battleford & Hafford Pastoral District.
