Bishop Roborecki Branch UCBC – Executive Structure – Now (1980-2023)

The organizational structure adopted in 1933 has been maintained over the 90 years of the Branch’s existence. The only change has been the elimination of the Judges positions. The fiscal (financial) year is from January to December.

Bishop Roborecki Branch UCBC holds monthly meetings from September to June. Additional or special meetings are called as needed. An AGM is held each December. The meetings are held at St. George’s Cathedral auditorium. A blend of in-person and virtual meetings were held during the Pandemic (2021). In 2023, there are 32 members plus 5 honorary members.

The Executive consists of the following:
Spiritual Advisor – Very Rev. Fr. Janko Kolosnjaji
Past President – Bro. Bernie Bodnar, KSV
Vice-President – vacant
President – Bro. Bernie Bodnar, KSV
Secretary – Bro. William Gulka, KSV
Treasurer – Bro. Adam Nahachewsky
Hospodar – Bro. Bernie Bodnar, KSV
Auditors – Bros. Conrad Pura, Ed Rogalski, Walter Wandzura, and Martin Hryniuk (alternate)

The Working Committees are as follows:
Archives, Bingo, Culture and Education, Fraternal, Membership, Parish Council, Press, Scholarship, Social, Social Media, and Ukrainian Canadian Committee.

Membership in the Ukrainian Catholic Brotherhood is open to any Ukrainian Catholic male that belongs to a Ukrainian Catholic parish. Because of the relatively small Ukrainian Catholic population in Saskatoon, only one UCBC branch – Bishop Roborecki Branch UCBC – exists for the City of Saskatoon. Bishop Roborecki Branch is attached to St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. Members of other Ukrainian Catholic parishes in Saskatoon and area are eligible and, in fact, are members of the Branch. New members are initiated at regular branch meetings.
